ABOUT THE POSITION

As a quality engineer at Teledyne FLIR, you will belong to a team of 7 people within production technology that supports a production team of currently 50 people. You will work in a dynamic environment where your expertise contributes to maintaining and improving the quality of their products, together with an overarching quality department. Your main responsibilities will include quality assurance, which involves developing, implementing, and monitoring quality control processes to ensure that product standards are met. You will collaborate with the development department at various stages of project development, monitor production activities to ensure high yield and quality, as well as analyze production data and statistics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. Additionally, you will provide technical support and guidance to production members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Other responsibilities will include:

Short- and long-term planning: Create and implement plans to meet immediate production needs and long-term quality goals.
Presence on the line: Maintain a strong presence on the production line to quickly address issues and ensure continuous operation.
Review of component quality: Review the quality of purchased components to ensure they meet our standards.
Supplier review: Evaluate and review the quality of suppliers to ensure they deliver high-quality components.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has a post-secondary education in industrial economics, mechanical engineering, engineering science, or similar. Alternatively, you have work experience that compensates.
Has previous work experience as a quality engineer, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Has a strong analytical ability to interpret production data.
Is particularly passionate about methods related to continuous improvement and quality control processes.
